Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Process Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Richmond, VA . Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the manufacturing industry.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Process engineering knowledge like Lean Six Sigma (Wastes and process variations), 5S, PFEP (planning for every part, Kanban etc).
• Production line design experience (manual, semi-auto & auto), defines maturing strategy depending on volumes and selects the best technology to suite the reqmt. Know how labor routing works and is defined.
• Technical documentation of process - Work instructions, Standard operating procedures, ABRAs etc.
• Knowledge of AutoCad, FlexSIM (or equivalent simulation software), SAP, MS office.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and SAP (or similar ERPs) is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and 5S is preferred
